“It’s not rocket science” is a really popular phrase. What people normally mean is that we can do a lot more than we think we can if we put our mind to things.
That is all well and good but when you use a management consultant we believe that you are buying expertise. Unfortunately we have seen many consultants stretch their expertise which has resulted in poor delivery and dissatisfied clients.
A good example is if we had a client who wanted us to help them implement a Quality system and get it accredited to ISO9001. We know about Quality Standards and could do the job but we are not experts. In this situation we would recommend another management consultant that specialises in quality or if your requirements are simple recommend an out of the box product that we have seen being used successfully.
